Eger´s destination guide live at Budapest Airport

Gothenburg, Sweden (December 2, 2016) – Eger, one of Hungary’s most popular and iconic destinations is known for its international-level spas (with curative waters), award-winning wines and colorful and exciting cultural environment.

Eger is a city of legends. In Eger, there is a story tied to everything, be it the thousand-year-old castle, the epic 1552 siege, a good glass of wine or a romantic winding street.

“This year we would love to generate interest towards Eger also among foreign tourists, since the city is already highly popular among Hungarians. Budapest Airport was chosen as the best venue for showcasing what Eger has to offer, since with this campaign we could reach about half a million passenger per month. Hungary is much more than Budapest alone. We would like to encourage tourists to explore our country further, discover the countryside and its flavours, experiences and stories – and the city of Eger is the perfect place to start”, said Annamária Karcz, DMO Manager of Eger TDM.

Magnus Aideborn, CEO of ArrivalGuides said, “The partnership between Eger TDM and ArrivalGuides, the world’s largest distributor of destination content, has proven to be exceptionally successful. Over the course of a year-long collaboration, Eger has seen a steady increase in guide downloads, reaching higher numbers than destinations of a comparable size. ArrivalGuides looks forward to continuing the mutually beneficial collaboration and driving further tourist traffic to the historic town of Eger”.

Adding Eger to ArrivalGuides’ vast library of over 550 travel guides, they aim to reach more potential travelers and inspire those wishing to escape the bustle of city life.Their destination guide includes all information travelers need at every stage of their journey and is available online, as PDF downloads, through the ArrivalGuides app as well as partner apps and distributed through the robust network of distribution partners including major airlines and travel companies.
