Wrapping Up 2017: The Year in Review

2017 was a great year for travel, despite some difficulties in the form of natural disasters and security concerns. Overall, the industry is thriving, innovating and pushing the boundaries of what it means to travel in the 21st century. It was also a great year for ArrivalGuides: we cemented new partnerships, expanded our content library and distribution network, and even launched entirely new products and services. Let’s take a look back at the past year and review some of the key events and accomplishments of 2017.

The Year in Numbers

Expanding Horizons

The ArrivalGuides network grew significantly this year. 26 new travel guides were added to our library, and a number of new destination partners have joined us, including DMOs from Romania, Croatia, France and Spain, among others. Moreover, our distribution network was greatly expanded to include such companies as News.com.au (Australia’s number one news website), Here Technologies (a pioneering mapping and in-car navigation system company), Travefy (which provides itinerary and communication tools for travel professionals), Kiwi.com (a Czech travel aggregator and one of the fastest growing companies in the world), and London-based OTA The Wise Miser, to name just a few. We’ve also cemented an important partnership with Brand USA, the destination marketing organization for the entire United States, and greatly look forward to accomplishing great things with them in the future.

ArrivalGuides around the World

ArrivalGuides’ staff scoured the globe last year, jumping from Madrid to Dubai, New York to Berlin, London to Singapore, and beyond, making our presence felt at the world’s largest, most important and most influential travel events and conferences. The information, contacts and partnerships garnered at these events have only strengthened the ArrivalGuides brand and our position on the global market.
